This rail to trail is the old Rock Island Rail Line, running from Toulon to Dunlap (north of Peoria).
The Trail is crushed limestone. Trail is very well managed and can be packed on the Dunlap side
(Dunlap is a growing suburb of Peoria).
From I-80 take 78 through Kewanee down to 17. Take 17 through Toulon until you see old Rock <br />Island Trail. From I-74, take 17 east through Woodhull, Galva, and through Toulon until you see old <br />Rock Island Trail. From Peoria, drive to Dunlap - trail cuts right through Dunlap.
